Is your domain in good shape?
A forgotten renewal or a failing name server takes your website and email down together. We check the registration, the name servers, DNSSEC and the basics.
Three habits that avoid most outages
01
Auto-renewal
Turn it on, for several years if possible.
And keep the card and the reminder email address up to date.
02
Transfer lock
A switch at the registrar that blocks moving the domain without your approval.
Plus two-factor authentication on the registrar account.
03
Two name servers or more
DNS hosts provide several by default.
Don't remove them to keep only one.
Questions
What is RDAP?
The modern replacement for WHOIS: the registry's public record, in a standard format. Some country extensions don't offer it yet.
Is a CAA record necessary?
No. It lists the authorities allowed to issue certificates for your domain (Let's Encrypt, for example), which limits fraudulent certificates.
