Flagged as dangerous?

When Google flags a site for phishing or malware, Chrome, Firefox and Safari show a full red screen before letting anyone in. We ask Google directly whether your site is on its list.

Why a site gets flagged

Almost always because it was hacked: a vulnerable plugin, a stolen password, and pirates slip in fake login pages or redirects to scams. The owner often only finds out from a visitor.

01

Prevent

Update WordPress, the theme and plugins; use unique passwords and two-step login.

02

Be told

Add your site to Google Search Console: Google emails you as soon as it flags something.

03

Clean, then ask

Once the site is clean, request a review in Search Console; the red screen goes away after approval.
